COTTAGE LIVING
Retirement living doesn't mean you have to slow down or go into seclusion. There are now more choices for seniors than ever before, and Brooks Place has been designed to offer you those choices. As a resident at Brooks Place, you'll meet lots of new friends and add new experiences to your life. You'll have the opportunity to engage in as many social activities as you wish or enjoy as much privacy as you want. Cook for yourself or enjoy a meal at the Keeneland Dining Room.
The Cottages at Brooks Place are built to provide the best of independent living, with assistance closeby should you need it. An array of amenities are included, and additional options are available. Our 2 bed, 2 bath, one car garage cottages are situated on five cul-de-sacs in a friendly, comfortable community. Each lovely cottage has a fully equiped kitchen and a washer and dryer. A 24-hour emergency response system is included in every unit.
Selecting A Cottage
A $7,500.00 deposit is required.
Paying for the Cottage
Cottage prices begin at only $150,000.
There are many options for financing a cottage. Many homeowners elect the tax benefit of a home equity loan.
The Maintenance Program
Winchester Retirement Place, Inc. is responsible for all cosmetic exterior maintenance of the property. This includes, but is not limited to, lawn care, tree trimming, snow removal, damaged roofing or siding repair. There is no maintenance fee requirement.
The Buy Back Program
Winchester Retirement Place, Inc. will buy back the cottage when it is no longer needed. Within the first year the buy back amount is 90% of the base price. After the first year the Buy Back amount is 80% of the base price.
